        A year back when looking for a way to create consistent looking pages and manage a large amount of content for a site, Romit stumbled across Joomla! (formerly Mambo) which due to its amazing simplicity made it much easier for him to create and manage a site.

He is quite a proficient Joomla developer now and can make your sites be live relatively quickly, no matter how complex it is.

        Even though he is proficient in other CMS’s like Drupal , Wordpress , TYPO3, Text Pattern and Movable Type he has got a liking for Joomla! for some of its remarkable features like Flexibility, Simplicity, Low Cost, Stability and a Great Community full of extremely helpful people. Joomla! having a powerful templating system and large amount 3rd Party add-ons (both Free and Commercial) make it possible to extend your site do almost anything with it from making a personal blog to an enterprise graded e-Commerce solution.

        Another powerful feature of Joomla! is the number of Translations available for it,(currently 55 and more coming soon) making it possible to make Websites in your own languages with relative ease. Romit has been a Translation Working Group Member of Joomla! since February 2006 and has been providing language packs for his own language Bengali and also helping community members who are interested to make sites in Bengali as well as other Indian and Foreign Languages with Joomla!.

        Romit always looks for perfection in his work whether through design or through accessible markup on his websites. Romit also has an in-depth knowledge of all of the popular 3rd party components and modules (Both Open Source and Commercial) for Joomla! while working on many projects for companies as well as individuals.

        When not creating websites Romit relaxes by indulging in taking photographs with his HP Photosmart R707xi. And on the adventurous side he enjoys Hiking, Mountaineering and Rafting in the Himalayas with his friends.
